The youthful aspirations of the main characters are placed on the same continuum as the daily violence (implicit and explicit) of Tijuana and its history. What does it take to get up and keep working toward your goals? The filmmaker, Diego Hernandez, sets himself the task to film his own city with love and affection, acknowledging the bloodshed, but never giving in it the aesthetics of violence.
